Gun Settings

Access the Gun Settings screen by selecting the Configuration button Properties on the Home screen.

The Gun Settings screen is where the user can view and edit a gun's configuration.

Gun Display Name

The Gun Display Name is the name given to a gun for easy user recognition throughout the controller interface.  Edit the Gun Display Name by selecting the Edit button  Edit Button in the field.

The gun Gun Display Name does not need to match the gun identification number, but keeping these numbers the same could help with ease of use for users.

Hose Length

Only available on HD systems.

Set the hose length being used to adjust the flow calculation for better spray performance.

Powder Supply Type

Select the method of powder supply from the Powder Supply Type drop down.

If Vibratory Box is selected, the Vibratory Box Delay Off drop down appears.

This delay controls how long the motor stays ON after the spray gun is no longer triggered ON. This prevents rapid ON/OFF motor cycling every time you trigger the gun OFF and ON and prolongs the life of the motor.

Select the desired delay time from the drop down.

uA Upper Limit

The uAClosed One millionth of an amp, the standard unit for measuring electrical current, and represents the current moving through the spray gun to charge the powder particles. Upper Limit controls how high the uA settings can be adjusted.

Adjust the uA Upper Limit setting through the Gun Settings screens.

Purge Control

Purge Control sets whether a purge is triggered manually at the spray gun or by a remote device connected to the pump controller.

Adjust the Purge Control setting through the Gun Settings screens.

Gun Display Brightness

Only appears on HD systems.

Gun Display Errors

Only available on HD systems.

Turns notification ON and OFF for error alert on spray gun display.

Auxiliary Trigger Function

Only available on HD systems.

Sets the desired function for the auxiliary (purge) spray gun trigger.

Atomize Air Delay

Only available on HD systems.

Sets the number of seconds the pattern air continues to operate after the gun trigger is released.

Choose from 0 to 5 seconds in 0.25 increments.

Gun Purge Functions

Only available on HD systems.

Purge Functions customize the purge cycle when the Color Change command is performed.

Flow Module Zero Offset

Only available on HD systems.

The Flow Module Zero Offset command in used with the Re-Zero Procedure used for troubleshooting.

Perform this procedure if the system controller interface indicates air flow when the spray gun is not triggered on, or if a Flow Air or Pattern AirClosed Changes the delivery velocity as the powder exits the gun as well as changes the atomization and shape of the powder cloud. Flow High Help code (0x1011u or 0x1013u) appears.

Before performing a re-zero procedure:

  • Make sure the air pressure being supplied to the system is higher than the minimum 5.86 bar (85 psi).

  • Make sure no air is leaking through the module output fittings or from around the solenoid valves or proportional valves. Re-zeroing modules with leaks will result in additional errors.

  1. Perform one of the following according to fault received:

    1. For Powder Airflow High (0x1011u): On the bottom of the pump, remove the suction and delivery tubing and install 8-mm plugs on the fittings.

    2. For Pattern Air Flow High Fault (0x1013u): On the pump controller, disconnect the 6 mm pattern air tubing and install 6-mm plugs in the output fittings.

  2. On the system controller touchscreen, select Gun Settings Gun Configuration Settings and swipe through the screens to navigate to the Flow Module Zero Offset setting.

  3. Select Reset Zero.

  4. Remove the plugs from the fittings and reconnect the tubing.

  5. Navigate to the Activity Log screen and resolve the faults. Return to normal operation.
